Coaching Workouts form a core element of the Level 1 and 2 programs, allowing student mindfulness-based coaches to learn in an experiential way in a live setting with instant feedback. They are recorded for academic purposes, and on joining the course student coaches can access an extensive library of Coaching Workouts.
Coaching Workouts bring coaches together to hone their skills through peer coaching and mentor feedback. Peer coaching offers a unique opportunity for coaches to both give and receive feedback, fostering mutual learning and camaraderie. Together, in the spirit of continuous improvement, participants of the Coaching Workout sessions embark on a journey of discovery, empowerment, and shared growth, emerging as stronger, more effective coaches.
Guiding this transformative process is the experienced hand of a mentor. Through thoughtful observations and constructive guidance, the mentor empowers coaches to unlock their full potential and elevate their impact. The foundation of feedback is based on coaching ethics, coaching competencies and applied mindfulness to support the lives of those they serve.

Why join a Mindfulness-based Coaching Workout?
You’re curious about how a coaching session progresses and what it can achieve.
You’re curious about how applied mindfulness is used to support a coaching client.
You’re interested in integrating mindfulness into your personal or professional life.
You would like to experience the teaching style of the BMC.
You want to meet some of the current and past students of the BMC academy and see them in action.
You you’d like to try a Mindfulness-Based Coaching session yourself but would rather have a taster session first.
How is a Coaching Workout delivered?
The Coaching Workouts last 60 minutes, of which 20 - 30 minutes are usually dedicated to a coaching session. Essentially this makes it like ‘speed coaching’, where coaches follow an entire coaching process, including introduction, issue identification, core mindfulness-based coaching, wrap-up, insights and future actions.
After the session, the coach is given feedback on their coaching both from participants through written positive feedback in the chat and from the workout mentor. The coachee also gives feedback on their experience of the person coaching them.
Depending on the person leading the workout – mostly BMC founder Dalida Turkovic – the style of the workout can change from one-to-one coaching, to a group of coaches coaching as a team in 5-minute slots, to the mentor being coached. The sessions are experiential, insightful and often a lot of fun!
What you need to know before you join?
To ensure a respectful and productive environment for all participants, BMC has a code of conduct they invite all participants to follow:
Respectful Communication
Engage with others respectfully and kindly. Avoid interrupting or speaking over others.
Confidentiality
Maintain confidentiality of personal stories and experiences shared during the session.
BMC Academy Confidentiality statement
The session will be recorded and kept for internal academic purposes - BMC Academy students will have access to the session.
Active Listening
Practice deep listening, paying full attention to the speakers without distractions.
Non-Judgmental Attitude
Approach all exercises and discussions with an open and non-judgmental attitude. This includes giving feedback to the coach.
Coaching feedback
Only provide appreciative feedback (e.g., when a powerful question resonated for you, you noticed a connection between the coach and the client, etc.) to the coach. You are not invited to give feedback to the person being coached.
Punctuality
Join the session on time to avoid disruptions and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
Technology
Ensure your technology is functioning properly before the session begins. Mute your microphone when not speaking to minimize background noise and turn off your camera during the actual coaching part of the workout.

“The more you practice, the better you become.
The better you become, the more freedom you have to create.”
– Ricky Gervais, Scientific American: Mind (2021)
